Your ski day should be fun and relaxing. But driving through snow, rain, and ice is definitely not. Remove the stress of winter mountain driving by taking advantage of the Mt. Hood Express.
The Mt. Hood Express transit is a public bus service that serves the communities along Highway 26, running from the city of Sandy east to Skibowl, Government Camp and Timberline. The Mt. Hood Express operates 7 days a week as a limited stop commuter service between the City of Sandy and Timberline. Seasonal service features include bike trailers and ski boxes for the convenience of riders to stow their equipment. The Express does not operate on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. One-way fare is $2. All-day pass is $5 and includes the Sandy Area Metro (SAM) buses that run between the Tri-Met Gresham Central MAX station and the Sandy Transit Center. For more details, visit www.mthoodexpress.com. We’re super excited to see mountain snow in the forecast! Unfortunately, the timing of the snowfall has been very unsettled and moving around a bit. As we approach the weekend, temperatures are now predicted to rise throughout the day on Saturday with heavy rain forecasted for Sunday.
Given those circumstances, we have made the very tough decision to suspend operations for this weekend, December 2nd and 3rd with the primary focus on snow management and preservation. Our teams will be actively farming the snow as it’s falling throughout the storm in an effort to deepen our base prior to any rainfall we may experience.
****Please Note: Ticket sales for future dates have not yet been released.
We’ll provide an update for advanced tubing sales next Wednesday at noon.
